Prices were unchanged. The market tone
was steady. Demand continued light to
moderate and centered on less-than
trucklot sales for immediate delivery.
Floor stocks cleared and remained no more
than adequate. Shell egg supplies were also
no more than adequate under a steady to
fully steady trade sentiment Edible liquid
and frozen eggs (ingredients included) pro
cessed under federal inspection in the East
ern region for the week ending March 9,
1996 were 12% more than last week, and
2% more than the same week last year.

Prices were unchanged to lower for
mediums in the Midwest, unchanged to
higher for the large sizes in die Northeast,
and the balance of pnces were unchanged.
The maiket tone was at least steady for the
large sizes, and steady to weak for
mediums. Demand into retail channels was
light to good, best where featured, and
loose egg inquiry was mixed from mod
erate to good. Supplies of the large sizes
were adequate to barely adequate and
sought, and the light sizes were adequate to
fully adequate. Breaking stock prices were
unchanged, and supplies were adequate for
the light to moderate demand. Live hen
offerings were sufficient for the slow to
moderate demand. ___
