good. Trade active with good depth of buy
ers at this level. Quality of supply well
below past several weeks and plain thru
attractive. Weigh-ups gaunt through full.
Feeder cattle flesh slightly thin to slightly
fleshy. Pint light rains since early October
in northern and southern wheat belts with
these areas receiving. I to .5 inches, spots 1
inch. This moisture won’t save the crop
and additional rains are still needed. Wen
central big wheat country was missed and
remains without moisture. Slaughter cows
1.00-2.00 lower. Slaughter bulls steady to
1.00 lower. Packer demand moderate. Near
350 cows and bulls sold with 85 percent
going to packers. Receipts this week
15,900; last week 14,468; last year 11,577.
Supply oonsined of 77 percent yearlings
over 600 lbs; 21 percent calves; 2 percent
cows and bulls. Prices follow with weight
ed average weight and price in parenthesis.
