The Maryland Holstein Associ
ation is organizing a tour to two
outstanding dairy operations in the
Gettysburg-Littlestown area in
Pennsylvania, on March 28th.
The first is Mason-Dixon and
will begin at 10:30 a.m. Mason-
Dixon has put into operation many
innovative ideas including: opera
tion of a methane digester, move
ment of milking animals into par
lor by rail, a farm operated store
and construction of much of their
own farm equipment After lunch
on your own at one of the easily
accessible eating establishments,
we will meet at Pen Gate at 1:30.
Pen Gate is well known for its
high production and type. Their
genetics are in high demand and
