Pop Md. Farmer Honored SIOUX FALLS, S.D. Farm er Roy William Crow, 39, of Kcn nedyville, Md. will represent the state of Maryland when 34 of the nation’s foremost farmers meet in Sioux Falls, S.D., for the 40th Na tional Outstanding Young Farmer (NOYF) Awards Congress, Feb. -29 through March 3. Four agricultural leaders will be selected at the event as the Nation al Outstanding Young Farmers for 1996. The annual event is adminis tered by The U.S. Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees), co-spon sored by Deere & Company and Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc., and supported by the Out standing Farmers of America (OFA) Fraternity. The National Outstanding Young Farmers event is the oldest farmer recognition program in the world. The program honors the achievements of a diverse group of enterprising farmers and ranch ers across the United States. * Hundreds of past winners, dig nitaries. and Junior Chamber members will attend the awards ceremony at the Holiday Inn - City Centre Hotel. On hand for the event will be 76th National Junior Chember President Kelly J. Wills. Crow is the sole proprietor of a 500-acre dairy and grain farm and has won numerous breeding and production awards. The Univer sity of Maryland graduate and his wife Sue have three children.
