and calves steady. Demand unusually good
for very light subtly. Light receipts due to
7 days of record low temperatures
livestock handling unfeasible. Slaughter
cows and bulls lightly tested with 75 head
available. Packer demand excellent.
Slaughter cows 2.00-3.00 higher, daughter
bulla 1.00 higher. Strong market it attri
buted to massive arctic front which has
allowed very fewcows to move to slaugh
ter. Receipts this Week 1,050; last week
10,756; last year 13,397. Supply consisted
of 62 percent yearlings and calves over 600
lbs; 31 percent calves under 600 Iba; 7 per
cent cows and bulls. Prices follow with
weighted average weight and price in
