To be auctioned are certificates Who) the grandchildren come to .visit it surely changes our life style. We can’t sit down to read and hear the clock tick in a quiet house. We don’t hear the hum of the new refrigerator. And, we don’t listen to our favorite televi sion programs in the evening. What we do is play with them and entertain them. They like to go in the basement and run the battery-operated car. Down there we also have a sliding board, a tri cycle. and a small table for them that our son gave us when his three children outgrew the toys. One of their favorite things is to have me read to them. We must all sit on the sofa so that one can sit on each side of Grandma. They’re getting too big for my lap and too heavy. I’ve kept some of the books that my children had long Ida’s Notebook Ida Risser for 4-H market lambs, animal cages and feed, truckloads of crushed stone, ISO gallons of heat ing oil, tickets for dinner theaters and shows, topsoil, coal, mulch, 18 holes of golf, and gift certificates for local stores and restaurants, and admission passes for local attractions. Another thing that we do to pass the time is drink and eat. Usually I only have milk or water in the re frigerator. But, they want juice. So. we go to the canning shelf and get a quart of gmpe juice and open it. I can add some water to it as I make a concentrate. Then we get the graham cracker box out of the cupboard too. Even I enjoy one thing that we do to keep busy and that is to go through old sewing baskets. Somehow I’ve accumulated a half dozen from older relatives. They are quite interesting with odd gad gets, pretty buttons, an earring, tiny thimbles or beeswax. Some have a dried gourd for darning or even an old campaign button. There is always something to do. SEE YOUR NEAREST & DEALER FOR DEPENDABLE EQUIPMENT & SERVICE PENNSYLVANIA Annvllle. PA BHM Farm Equipment, Inc. RD 1, Rte. 934 717-867-2211 Carlisle.
