C4-Lancaster Farming, Saturday, December 23, 1995 Lubricator Is Portable, Powerful CAMDEN, Mich. E-Power Remote, Inc. has announced its new product, the E-Power Remote GrcascKart, a portable, battery powered, high pressure lubricator for industrial use. GrcaseKarl has the portability of a grease gun but with the power of a pneumatic, bringing power lubrication to any job site. This combination provides many ad vantages over the hand grease gun and air-operated units. The hand operated grease gun is manual and provides no power, and air-oper ated units aren’t portable. Grease- Kart provides the best of both worlds. GreascKart’s rugged durability and performance is built for heavy, continuous duly. A good example of GrcaseKart’s porta bility and power can be found at school and commercial bus gar ages across the country. A new line of three-point mounted planters with fully hydraulic stack folding capa bilities and a number of “industry-first” features has recently been introduced by Kinze Manufacturing, Inc. uses forward-mounted, outboard folding links combined with over head fofdmg links to create a stable, wide-based parallel-link configuration. This innovation eli minates overhung weight and instability of the wings during transport —a problem often asso ciated with competitive stack folding-type planters. Among other improvements, the new Case IH 5800 mulch-till chisel features in novative edge-on shanks that re quire less horsepower to pull and leave higher residues than conven tional designs. According to Bill Hocg, Case product specialist-implements, the cutting side of each shank is rela tively narrow and the gliding side is wide. The shanks now measure VA x 2 x 32 inches instead of 2 x VA x 32 inches. “In other words, we’ve streamlined in one direction while maintaining the strength through the other. “People tend to associate chisel plows with traditional cultivation Monsanto Announces Sustainability Award ST. This was a basic conclusion from the Authority Research Sur ve completed for FMC Agricultur al Products Group in conjunction with its planned 1997 crop-year introduction of Authority herbi cide. in the survey of more than 1,000 soybean farmers from across the nation, Total Research Corporation determined that 50 percent of soybean growers arc very satisfied with their current herbicide program. Forty-two per cent of all the farmers interviewed arc somewhat satisfied, and only 7 percent are not satisfied with their current herbicide program. Of the 1015 farmers inter viewed, 58 percent had used their current herbicide program four years or less, and many of those farmers indicated they were still having some problems controlling a few troublesome weeds. “This research suggests that al- Firm Ranks Among Top Five Ag Consulting EPHRATA (Lancaster Co.) It allows deep, full width cutting with very Hide of the boiling action or disturbance asso ciated with conventional chisel plows.” Crop residue is preserved, reducing erosion, while hard sub soil is broken up to prepare a good seedbed. Additionally, the sweep design cuts weeds and reduces compaction zones in the soil. The 5800 is available in single and double-fold versions, in sizes from 13 to 53 feet.
