Prices were unchanged to lower for
whute eggs in the Northeast and Midwest,
and the balance of prices were unchanged.
The market tone was steady at best for
white eggs with a cautious tone mounting.
Demand was moderate to excellent into
retail channels, and institutional movement
was mixed across the full range. Supplies
of brown eggs were nomore than adequate,
and white egg supplies were adequate to
fully adequate or available. Breaking stock
supplies were adequate to fully adequate
for the light demand, and prices were lower
under a barely steady to weak trade senti
ment. Spent hen offerings were adequate to
fully adequate for the light to moderate
