The Hans Block family, who operates the Twin States Farm, produced an average of 21,972 pounds of milk. They received a plaque sponsored by Integra Bank. Floyd Beardsley of Pittsfield had the high herd in butterfat production. His herd aver aged 822 pounds of butlerfat and earned him a plaque sponsored by PNC Bank. The most improved herd in milk and pro tein production was Sugar Lott Farm of Lotts ville. The herd owned by George Savko had a 2,367 pounds of milk increase and 56 pounds of protein increase. They received plaques sponsored by PcnnWest Farm Credit and D&L Enos Milling. The most improved herd in butterfat pro duction was owned by Lee Curtis of Colum bus. Curtis’ Jersey herd had an increase of 54 pounds of butterfat He received a plaque sponsored by Mosher Mobile Milling and Nutrena Feeds. Doug and Diane Hastings of Scandia won the herd management award with a total of 92 points. They received a plaque sponsored by Penn West Farm Credit. The herd with the lowest somatic cell count was Twin States Farm Inc. They received an average of 124,000 somatic cells throughout 1995, and received a plaque sponsored by Conneaut Lake Veterinary Clinic.
