Feeder steers 1.00-2.00 higher. Feeder
heifers steady in limited test. Steer calves
steady. Heifer calves 1.00-2.00 lower.
Demand good for feeder cattle. Calf
demand moderate for steers, light for heif
ers. Many calves in medium or less flesh.
Reshy calves in minority and heavily dis
counted. Quality average to attractive. Last
rain in Oklahoma wheat country was
October 2ond. Subsoil moisture in many
areas is still good but top very dry. Wheat
pasture remains extremely scarce. Slaugh
ter cows steady to 1.00 lower, decline on
Utility. Slaughter bulls 1.00 higher.
Demand moderate for cows, good for
bulls. 625 cows and bulls told with 70 per
cent to packers.-Receipts this week 14,150;
U(t week 8,558; last year 10,860. Supply
consisted of 47 percent yearlings and
numerous calve* over 600 lbs; 49 percent
calves under 600 lbs; 4 percent cows and
