Wayne DHIA To Meet
HONESDALE (Wayne
Co.) —The annual meeting and
dinner of the Wayne County affili
ate of Pennsylvania DHIA will be
held on Wednesday, Dec. 6, start
ing at 7:45 p.m. at th<* Bethany
Methodist Church Hall.
A roast beef and ham dinner
will be served at a cost of $8 per
person.
The program will feature Dean
Amick from the Pennsylvania
DHIA staff. Dean will discuss and
explain the use of milk urea nitro
gen (MUN) analysis currently
being offered and tested at the
Pennsylvania DHIA lab. He will
also update all dairymen with cur
rent trends and other news from
Pennsylvania DHIA.
John Castrogiovanni, Mon
trose, district DHIA director for
Wayne-Susquehanna-Wyoming
and Lackawanna counties, will
also have a report from the state
directors’ meetings. He will also
answer any questions pertaining to
the Pa. DHIA organization and
represent area members at these
state meetings with their ideas and
concerns.
Other business will include the
presentation and recognition of
area dairy herds for herd manage
ment awards, lifetime production
awards, herd milk, butterfat and
protein production awards and
individual ccw production
awards.
