local parade, being struck by
85-mph tomado-like winds at a
Kansas campsite, and narrowly
dodging several rattlesnakes that
struck at the horses along a rural
road in Colorado.
But mostly, the Helmuths say,
they experienced “miles of
smiles.”

quarted at Paradise Acres Farm
near Nashua, lowa—a town
already famous for the Little
Brown Church in the Vale. The
farm is owned by the Helmuths;
David and Vikki were married
during the cross-country trip at
Sugarcteek, Ohio on August 14,
1993.

Holland the Helmuths will chat
with the crowd about their one-of
a-kind honeymoon trip (how

16-month, 3,800-mile trip on a

a “lesson plan” to help the activity
director conduct a series of
“Reminisce Hours” for the
residents.
