BRATTLEBORO, Vt.—New
rules and regulations from the
National Junior Holstein Show
ring Policy will be in place for all
national junior shows, starting
with the 1996 fall national shows.
According to Jason Devino,
executive director of the Holstein
Foundation, new ownership rules
have been enacted. They are as
follows:
Heifers: Calves and/or year
lings must be owned by the junior
exhibitor June 1 of the year
exhibiting.
Cows: Cows must be owned by
the junior exhibitor by January 1
of the year exhibiting.
Spring Shows: All animals
(both cows and heifers) showing
at national spring junior shows
must be owned by January 1 of the
year exhibiting.
