18.6 Speedshift provides a gear for every operation
and clutchless speed changes.
This option for cab and footstep model MF 375, MF
390, MF 3901 and MF 399 tractors provides on-the-go
speed changes without clutching. All shifts are fully
synchronized, even between ranges, for maximum
comfort, convenience and productivity.
Engine braking is provided in all gears, and the tractor
can be tow started.
The compound shift lever selects desired range with a
ratchet-type motion and includes a speedshift control
button, so all shifting action is easily controlled with one
lever. This single lever is positioned at the operator’s
right, freeing up the floor area for easy access.
A second speeidshift button is located on the right-hand
console in cab models. Indicator lights on the dash
panel provide easy identification of range and
speedshift positions.
