Demand vety good for calves and yearlings. Quality average to attractive with calf quality the best this season. Yearlings in thin to medium flesh with average to full weigh ups. Calf flesh medium to heavy with aver age weigh-ups. Slaughter cows steady to 1.00 higher, advance on Cutters; exception noted on Carmen 1.00-2.00 lower. Slaugh ter bulls weak. Packer demand just mod erate as cow supplies ample and no stretch ing needed. Older bred cows continue to go to slaughter at not enough wheat pasture available to entice farmers into the other route. Bulk of cows continue to be old and in need of culling. 886 cows and bulls sold with 80 percent to packers. Receipts this week 14,873; last week 10,723; last year 14,416. Supply consisted of 44 percent yearlings and numerous calves over 600 lbs; 50 percent calves under 600 lbs; 6 per cent cows and bulls.
