Tnicklot buying inlereit wu just about
nil as dealers concentrated on holiday
items. Offerings were generally readily
available on most items with bone-in
breasts the most difficult to move at any
price. Retail and distributive movement
was centering around seasonal holiday
items. The market tone was barely steady
to weak with underlying sentiment nerv
ous.

Prices were generally unchanged. The
market tone was fully steady. Demand con
tinued to focus on immediate orders of full
and less-than-trucklot volumes, and was
fair overall. Floor stocks were adequate.
Plants hesitated to process more product
than orders necessitated due to cautious
ness about putting current high cost pro
duction into inventory. Breaking stock
supplies were generally adequate, and
prices were unchanged.
