N.Y. Farm Bureau
Adds Staff
ALBANY, N.Y.—New York Farm Bureau
recently announced it hired Kyle A. Stewart as
its new assistant director of governmental
relations.
Stewart, a recent graduate of The College of
Saint Rose, was raised on his father’s dairy farm
in Washington County. At Saint Rose, Kyle
majored in political science, interned for New
York State Assemblyman Joseph D. Morelle
and graduated in May of 1995.
Prior to coming to New York Farm Bureau,
Kyle worked for Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield
as a claims examiner.
“I have always wanted to work at Farm
Bureau,” Stewart said. “By growing up on. a
farm and studying political science at Saint
Rose, it has always seemed to me that Farm
Bureau would be the most logical and best place
for me to work. Farm Bureau has a great reputa
tion in the agricultural and political communi
ties. I am excited by the prospect that I will be
able to help effectuate positive change for the
entire agricultural community.”
Rick Zimmerman, the director of governmen
tal relations and Kyle’s supervisor, said, “Kyle
is a welcome addition to the governmental rela
tions staff here at New York Farm Bureau. His
upbringing provides hands-on experience and
knowledge relative to the many issues we deal
with on a regular basis. In addition, his intern
ship with Assemblyman Morelle has introduced
him to the legislative process and the important
role lobbying plays in that arena. We expect
Kyle to be a major contributor toward achieving
our overall goals.”
Kyle is the son of Clifford and Janet Stewart
of Greenwich. He currently resides in Niskayu
na and is engaged to Shawn Jacko of Haup
paugc, New York.
