Trucklot buying interest was mixed with
majority of traders atill cautious as they
plan for seasonal item receipts. Offerings
were limited as several plants worked
reduced schedules. Retail and distributive
movement was slightly better than
expected but moat dealers had sufficient
floor stocks to cover needs. The market
tone was steady to fully steady on all but
boneless/skinlesa breasts.

Prices were higher. The mufcet tone wet
fully needy to firm. Demand remained
generally moderate with most inquiry cen
tered on immediate needi. Floor nocks
were usually adequne, but replacement
costs increased as shell and liquid egg
prices increased. Breaking stock supplies
were tight to adequate and held with confi
dence for higher prices. Liquid and frozen
eggs processed under federal inspection in
the Eastern region for the week ending
November 4, 1995 were 4% greater than
lan week, and 6% less than the same week
lan year.
