“Young” in our organization
name does not mean age. We have
members from age 18 to 90. Our
motto is “A Young Farmer Is Any
Farmer Willing To Learn.” With
technology advancing so fast, we
need to keep educating ourselves.

Now there's a belt
that beats
the toughest
drive problems.
Many heavy-duty industrial
machines demand more than con
ventional wrapped v-bclts can
stand Their punishing drives
make ordinary belts crack under
pressure The result unnecessary
and expensive downtime
Now there s a solution to the
consistent costly problem of replac
ing or retensfoning belts Its the
revolutionary new Super II" v-bclt
from Dayco The Super II belt was
designed specifically for the most
brutal applications And its per
formance blows the cover on con
ventional wrapped bells
In heavy torque high horse
power and extreme shock load

SUPER n V-BELTS
Innovative design &
construction provide
extra strength
and stamina
The secret to the Super 11 v-bclt s
durability is its unique construction
The central position of the polyester
cords in the neoprene rubber core
provides greater strength balance
and longer life Multiple fabric
plies top and bottom enhance flex
ibility And Dayco's unique raw-
edged construction gives it a better
grip for controlled slippage
These attributes combined
make (he Super 11 bell superior
to conventional wrapped belts
In every way
nia Young Farmers Association is
to educate and promote the envir
onmentally' appropriate produc
tion, marketing, and processing of
food, feed, and fiber.”
We are a dues-stnictured orga
nization. Membership in die orga
nization costs $6 per year or $9O
per lifetime. We are affiliated with
the National Young Farmer Edu
cational Association Inc., which
has a $5 dues per year or $lOO life
time membership fee.
Under the state organization,
there are at the present'34 chapters
throughout the state, which I will
list at a later date. You can contact
me at (610) 562-4945 or the mem
bership chairman Terry E. Martin,
930 Swamp Fox Road, Chambers
burg, PA 17201 at (717) 375-4581
to find out which chapter is closest
to you.
I want to make a point that the
dues are only a small part of finan
cial aid. We have many agribu
sinesses to help with the cost and
advice with the newsletters,
awards, winter convention, and
summer conference.
I also would like to point out that
all meetings are open to the public.
You don’t have to be a member to
come. Most meetings are held in
the ag room in the school or on the
farm. Meetings are regularly listed
in the farm calendar of Lancaster
Farming.
The educational meetings are
for young and old, men and
women, and sometimes for the
whole family. They are geared to
full-time, part-time, or hobby far
mers. Come out and see for
yourself.
Remember: A young farmer is
any farmer willing to learn.
Test the Super II v-bell
on your toughest drive
The Super 11 v-bell was field
tested tor two years on the most
severe appllceUons rock quarry
shaker screens lumber mill tree
deb»rkers and pipe descalers In
every case It outperformed con
venUonal wrapped belts by a wide
margin But the only test that really
counts Is the one you do on your
own equipment
fry the Super II belt on your
toughest drive problem You II be
ao amazed by Its incredible endur
ance that you'll want to put It on
all your drives In fact, we re ao
sure you'll be pleased wilh the
performance of the Super 11 v-belt
that In the unlikely event you're
not satisfied we'll refund the origi

with a conventional wrapped v-belt
