Movement of ready-to-cook whole birdi
wu moitly moderate. Seller offerings
were adequate to fully adequate. Live rup
pliei were moderate; weights varied from
light to heavy, but were mostly desirable to
heavy. Processing schedules were very
heavy. Less than trucklot asking prices
were unchanged at 67 cents. Trade senti
ment was steady, instances fully steady. In
the parts complex, bone-in breasts ranged
well cleared to adequate. Leg quartets and
thighs cleared well at most plants. Bone
less skinless breasts were fully adequate.
Wings were adequate in moving into closer
balance.

The final majority pricei were
unchanged to higher although the weighted
average was unchanged from a week ear
lier. The market tone was at least steady.
Offerings from production areas were gen
erally adequate. Demand was mostly mod
erate. Finished sales were fair to seasonally
active at slightly higher values.

Marketing Service For
Pennsylvania Pork Producers.
Beginning November 1, 1995, Walter M. Dunlap &
Sons Inc. will be operating a Lancaster Stockvards
swine receiving station every Wednesday (except dftring
the week of Thanksgiving) so that swine producers
have a new swine marketing opportunity. Producers,
therefore, can market animals on Mondays through the
Marlin Becker, having serveefas White Oak Mills' hog
dispatcher and marketing agent for 12 years, will be
joining Walter M. Dunlap & Sons Inc. as manager of
their hog division effective October 16, 1995 to
oversee this new Lancaster Stockyards receiving sta
tion. A life-long Lancaster County resident, Marlin
has over 14 years of experience as a swine producer,
fieldman and marketing agent
