The Adams County Hols tein Association has announced that it has scheduled its 44th annu al meeting to be held 7 p.m., Oct. 19, at the community fireball in Centennial. According to a news release received this week, the organiza tion announced details of the annu al meeting during a late September meeting of the association’s board of directors. Russell Redding, state deputy secretary of agriculture, is to be the main speaker and is to address state efforts to expand dairy pro duct exporting. The cost for attending the annu al banquet meeting is $5.50 per person. Reservations for the annu al meeting are necessary, though the deadline was to have been this week. In other business, the board of directors extended the deadline for its $250 scholarship, since no applications were made. The new deadline is also Oct. 9. Scholarship applicants must be members of the Pennsylvania Juidr Holstein Club, reside in Adams County, be attending an approved four-year, two-year or technical school or short course, in order to qualify.
