Leadman Starlite was named
grand champion of the Holstein
Open Show recently during the
Reading Fair here at the Kutztown
Fairgrounds.
Jennifer Davis, 19, daughter of
Frances and Ray Davis, Leesport,
picked up the champion trophy at
the show. She also won Holstein
youth show champion with her
junior 2 year-old, JMJ Springpond
Royal Trish.
Jennifer is also Berks County
dairy princess and a sophomore at
Penn State, majoring in dairy and
animal science.

In colored breeds competition,
Seth Wolfgang, Bechtelsville, was
champion of the Ayrshire open
show. Karen Wolfgang, Bechtels
ville, was champion of the Guern
sey open show. Mildred Seeds,
Downingtown, won champion of
the Jersey show. Brown Swiss
champion was Jill Vail, Myer
stown. Jill was also winner of the
Lineback show.
Judge for die show was David
Castrogiovanni, Montrose.
Castrogiovanni maintains 115
(milking) registered Holsteins.
This was the second time he
judged at the fair.
