Prices were unchanged. The market tone
was generally steady. Demand was mixed,
and trading slowed in areas where the Jew
ish New Year was observed. Floor stocks
were adequate. Shell egg supplies were
generally adequate from regular suppliers,
and the undertone was steady. Some plants
continued to work reduced schedules.

Movement of ready-to-cook whole birdi
wu ilow to fair and ben on 3 pound and
•mailer sizes. Offerings were fully adequ
ate, particularly on the heavier weights.
Live supplies were mostly moderate;
weights were desirable to often heavier
than desired. Processing schedules were
very heavy. Less than trucklot asking
prices were unchanged at 59 to 70 cents.
Trade sentiment was no better than steady.
In the parts complex, boneless skinless
breasts were fully adequate. Bone-in
breasts continued to tighten. Leg items
were hilly adequate to ample. Wings were
readily available for a lackluster buyer
interest.
