Brad Walker wrapped up his final year as a 4-H exhibitor at the York Fair in winning style, making his third consecutive sweep of the junior dairy show’s Supreme Champion title. “Warns Sexy Lady,” Walker’s six-year-old Holstein show cham pion, was showing recently-fiesh on the September 14 show, having calved just two weeks earlier. She is EX-90 and wrapped up her four year lactation 28,000 pounds milk. She is sired by Ocean-View Sexation and her dam is Warns Distinction Lady. Walker, a June graduate of Sus quehanna High School, is employ ed full time with the Leroy Walker family’s Walk-Le Holstein herd, Thomasville. He plans a career as a dairyman, with one of his goals being able to show his own, home bred, Excellent animal. Lady will continue her showstring trek with competition at the state Junior Dairy Show and the All-Ameri can. Reserve champion in the Hol stein Junior show was “Dar-Dale Fancy Paul Sophia,” the senior two-year-old exhibited by Dixie Doll, Glen Rock. In the Ayrshire junior competi tion, champion title went to the senior two-year-old, “Plainview Amos Kapu,” exhibited by Katie Shoemaker. Thomasville. Reserve champion was “Ray Knoll Libera tor’s Angie,” the aged cow shown by Jesse Stambaugh, Spring Grove. Reserve champion was a fall year ling exhibited by Nathan Hostet ler, “Wind Mill Hammer Col leen.” Bobbie Leiphan look Guernsey champion honors with her winter calf “Rutter Bros Perfector Won der.” In the reserve champion spot was “Romellas Nobility Brown ie,” the winter yearling shown by Kimberly Pomraning, Delta. “Top-O-Hill Merit Thelma,” a spring calf, topped the Jersey competition for owner Barbara Richardson, Fawn Grove. Captur ing the reserve placing was Jessica Hostetler, Dover, with her sum mer yearling “JH Be Magic Lil ya.” Heather Growl, Airville, snag ged both top titles in the Milking Shorthorn breed. Champion was her senior two-year-old, “Spruce Hill RC Bubbles,” over the re serve placing spring yearling, “Joy-El Lulu.” In the exhibitor competition, Dixie Doll, Glen Rock, was nam ed champion showman and Angie Beshore, New Cumberland, was named champion fitter.
