shipped for further processing to
meet the demands of the processed
egg market, growing year by year.
Using Deltas has proved benefi
cial, according to Willard, because
they are a fairly good egg maker,
provide a good case weight, and
hold up “real good” during heat.
“Some producers lost lots of
birds to the heat, where we lost
very few,” said Haas.
The eggs are large, with good
shell quality and case weight.
The Haas father and son team take care of two houses, one built In the spring of
1992 to house 110,000 hens and the other finished In late 1993 to house 125,000 hens.
