Grain Market
ST. JOSEPH, MO
SEPTEMBER 13, 1995
Wheat and loybean bids traded lower on
profit taking and slow export demand.
Com bids were mostly lower, despite
heavy fund buying on the board. The lack
of good export tales and spillover weak
ness from wheat and soybeans, added pres
sure. Wheat 4 to 9 cents lower. Com most
ly 1 to 4 cents lower. Sorghum 2 cents
higher. Soybeans 4 to 10 cents lower.
Tuesday's wheat gains were erased by pro
fit taking and the lack of new export busi
ness this week. Morocco's purchase of
French wheat on Monday, continued to
weigh on wheat bids. Winter wheat areas
received additiosul rainfall overnight.
Com bids tried to extend Tuesday's gains
at heavy fund buying on the board was
noted. The lack of good export demand,
however, kept a lid on corn bids. Moderate
declines in soybean bidi were due to i lack
of substantial foreign demand this week
sod favorable Midwest weather. Profit tak
ing and spillover weakness from wheat
pits, pies re ra bean bids.
