Live supplies were adequate with weights
covering the fill! range. Processing sche
dules were very heavy. Less than tiucklot
asking prices were unchanged at 61 to 72
cents. Trade sentiment was fully steady. In
the pans complex, supplies usuidly cleared
well as plants filled orders as best they
could. In some instances, bone-in breasts
were difficult to place.

Prices were unchanged to higher for
mediums in the Midwest and Northeast,
and the balance of prices were generally
unchanged. The market tone was steady to
firm. Demand coveted the full range and
was mostly moderate to good, best where
featured. Supplies were generally adequate
for the large sizes, mediums remained
barely adequate to adequate, and jumbo
brown eggs were tight in New England.
Breaking stock supplies were adequate for
the light to moderate demand, and prices
were unchanged
Spent hen offerings were sufficient for the
light to moderate demand, and the trade
sentiment was generally steady.

and was expected to improve after the
Labor Day holiday. Floor itocki of frozen
product! were adequate. Shell egg supplies
were adequate and prices were steady. Liq
uid and frozen eggs processed under feder
al inspection in the Eastern region for the
week ending August 26, 199 S were 1%
lets than last week, and 5% greater than the
same week last year.
