KIMBERTON (Chester Co.) — Once is fine, but twice is nice especially for Phillip McAllister, who captured the grand champion steer title at the Chester County 4-H Steer Show and Sale held at the Kimberton Fire Company Fairgrounds. This is the second champion ship title for Phillip, who is also a member of the Chester County 4-H Swine Club. Just three weeks ago, he walked away with the champion hog of their show and sale. This was quite an achievement for an 11-year-old 4-H member, who was up against some stiff competition with his steer and his fellow 4-H members vying for the championship. Pictured from left, Dennis Byrne, representing Herr’s Food, Nottingham, purchased the reserve champion steer for $2,304 exhibited by Sara Howe, Downlngtown.
