WHITNEYVILLE (Tioga Co.)
Tin-D Champ Dottie Donna, a
6-year-oKI cow owned by Ty-Ly-
View Farms of Roaring Branch,
took grand champion honors at the
District,lV Jersey Parish Show
recently held at the Whitneyville
Fairgrounds.
Judge Wayne Stiles, of West
minster, Md. commented that the
cow not only had desirable type
traits, but she also looked like she
was working hard and producing a
lot of milk.
His suspicions of her hard work
were confirmed when his champ
ion also won the protein produc
tion class held at the end of the
show, with a 4-year-old record of
19,211 pounds of milk, 847 pound
s of fat, and 736 pounds of protein.
In the reserve grand champion
position was Nobledale Juno Won
der, a junior 3-year-old owned by
Nobledale Farm, Gillett.
In the youth division, a pair of
senior 3-year-olds took the top
positions. Mark Norman of Liber
ty had the grand champion with
Normandell Skyline Wanda, and
Samantha Wilcox of Covington
had the reserve grand champion
with Eastmont Juno Debbie.
Ryan Sprout of Montrose was
waved into the junior champion
slot in both the open and junior
divisions with his winter yearling,
J Imperial Panda.
Following the winter yearling in
the open division was Ty-Ly-View
Juno Sylvia, a fall calf owned by
Ty-Ly-View Farm.
In the youth division, the
reserve junior champion was Jer-
Sweet Farm Legacys Liberty, a
summer yearling owned by Kent
Barker of Ulysses.
With more than 80 animals
shown at the tenth annual competi
tion, Normandell Farms again rose
to the top and captured both the
premier breeder and premier exhi
bitor banners.
Following is a listing of the top
