Junior 2-Year-Old Grand Cha

—“lt’s been a long time since I’ve
made a 2-year-old the champion at
a show,” said judge Don Johnston
as he gave his reasons, “but today
I’m going to do it”
With those words he walked to
the center of the arena and selected
Bren Delite CV Sierra, owned by
Brenda Robson Hodder of Man
sfield, the grand champion of the
22nd annual Northeast Pennsylva
nia Championship Show.
For his reserve grand champion,
Johnston, of Martin town, Ontario,
selected senior* 2-year-old Royal
Haven Inspire Quill, owned by
Lynn and Bonnie Miller, of
Towanda.
In the youth division, David
Packard, of Troy, stood in the
limelight when his junior 2-year
old, Pack Herd Skybuck Batu, was
named the grand champion. In die
reserve position was senior 2-year
old Btaedawn Inspire Angel ET,
owned by Adam Fraley Jr. of
Muncy.
Among the junior animals,
David Packard again had a winner
with his fall yearling Pack Herd
Encore Bazuka. She was named
the junior champion in both the
youth and open divisions.

showed the reserve junior champ
ion in the youth division with her
spring yearling, Esßem Connie’s
Legacy.
In the run for the premier breed
er and premier exhibitor awards,
Gor-Wood-D Holsteins of Man
sfield rose to the top and captured
both banners.
A total of 126 animals were
shown in the competition, which
was held at the Tioga County Fair
grounds on Aug.-22.
Johnston, who was judging his
first show in Pennsylvania, qffered
congratulations to everyone who
participated in the event.
“It was a real nice show,” he
said.
