Troy resold two and Columbia
Cross Roads Equipment resold the
other. The donated lambs were
purchased by Columbia Cross
Roads Equipment, Towanda
Agway and USDA and the Conser
vation District for $ 1.25, $ 1.35 and
$1.35 per pound, respectively.
The small steer sale averaged
$1.17 per pound.
The sale topper was the
1362-pound grand champion sold
by Robert Gilliland and purchased
by Empire Livestock Market for
$1.21 per pound.
The reserve grand champion
sold by Randy Calkins was pur
chased by P&C Foods for $1.15
per pound. The Hereford tipped
the scales at 962 pounds.
P&C Foods also purchased the
third steer, a 1014-pound Hereford
raised by Adam Yoachim for
$1.15 per pound.
Bob Shaylor was the auctioneer
for the annual event.
