describing the program
will be available as well
as questionnaires for
prospective fanners and
farm owners/
landholders.
Bowlan said the
Farm Link program is
designed to match these
two groups in order to
slow the steady decline
in family farm opera
tions. A database
matching service pro
vides owners with a list
of prospective applic
ants who are looking for
farming opportunities
that match that particu
lar farm operation. She
assists and facilitates
the matching process
along with offering
resource information
for a successful farm
transition. Other inter
ested agricultural orga
nizations work coopera
tively with Farm Link
providing information,
advice, and assistance.
