The District is selling its 5 shank slit-till
er which has been in use since 1986. The
shanks have 2” straight chisel teeth and
are spaced at 30”. It was built by the
District for heavy duty use and can be
transported on the road. It can be used to
break a plow pan, increase a soil’s ability
to absorb water and provide for greater
infiltration. Prospective bidders can see
the slit-tiller at 1150 Village Road by call
ing 717-687-6377. Sealed bids will be
accepted until the public bid opening in
the Conference Room of the Farm &
Home Center at the next District board
meeting, 7:30 P.M. on September 6, 1995.
