The Southwestern Pen nsylvania Championship Holstein Show was held last Saturday at the county fair grounds with 92 head shown to judge Richard Lewis from Orient, Ohio. The winner of the five-year-old class, E-Ricks Astro Jet Mystical, an Astro Jet daughter went on to become grand champion of the show. The champion was shown by E. Richard Bednarski, Avella, and since Bednarski also bred the champion she was named best bred and owned in the show. The reserve , grand champion was shown by Don Eaton and Tom Gretz, Adamsville. This senior three-year-old. Gem Blackstar Portia-ET is a blackstar daughter out of Oldmt Mark Patty. In the junior show, Shelby Allen, Smock, had the grand champion with her winning two year-old, Alien-Hill Radier Gabby Gem. The reserve grand champ ion, MS Clear-Leo Aero Star Amy was shown by David Fava, Scen ery Hill. The junior champion in both the open and the junior show was Alien-Hill Vintage Dana. This junior yearling was shown by Tay lor Allen, Smock. Reserve junior champion honors in the open show went to Robert, Ralph, and Arthur Moore, Mercer. And the reserve junior champion in the junior show was shown by Daniel Ream, Markleton. Alien-Hill Dairy, Smock, took home both the premier breeder and Grand champions In the youth show.
