    York Holstein Show
(Continued from Page A 1)
Glenville.
Winning show champion hon
ors with a never-before-shown
animal is somewhat uncommon.
But for the Doll family, it was the
second year running to accomp
lish that feat, as well as pick up a
third consecutive pair of the cov
eted breeder and exhibitor ban
ners.
Named the reserve senior and
grand champion was the four
year-old Wilsholm Mary-ET,
owned by youth exhibitor Joshua
Hushon, Delta. The win marked a
new high in the showing career of
the 14-year-old 4-H member.
Though she nearly died deliver
ing twin bulls when she freshened
as a heifer, Mary is now projected
to a second lactation of 25,000
milk and 1,000 fat She is scored
EX-90.
The Doll and Hushon families
also split top honors in the heifer
classes.
Junior champion was the spring
yearling Dar-Dale Nittany Pepsi,
entered by junior exhibitor Dixie
Doll. Jacob Hushon took the re-
serve junior champion rosette with
his winter yearling Twin Wind
Broker Kiss.
An annual highlight of the York
show is the Kiddie Klass, open to
youngsters from three to eight
years of age showing young
calves. Winners were cousins Tri
sha Knight, 7, and Candice
Knight, 8, both of Airville. Also
accepting awards in the Kiddie
competition were Chad Thoman,
