Keller Farm
The Keller Brothers, Jay and Jim, are In partnership at
11-Vlew Farms, located south of Tyrone In Blair County.
»y, along with their mother Mary, brother John and full
te employee Aaron Summers, farm 450 acres of corn,
and soybeans. Their 110 registered Holstein cows pro
' 21,656 pound of milk on average, and they are milked
double six milking parlor. At last test, eight or nine cows
re milking over 100 pounds of milk. The farm was pur
ised by the brothers’ grandfather around 1920. The Kell
)ay farming is a full time lob that now takes more brains
in physical labor. Management Is the most Important

Elmglade Farm
Elmglade Farm, located at Sugar Run along the Sust
Hanna River, is owned by Tom and Judy McCarty and tk
four sons, Mike, 23; Clay, 22; David, 17, and Ken, 13. T

300 Holstein milk cows are fed with both TMR and rotatk
