world* of “intelligence,” people
readily investigate everything
bom which new car to buy to
which stock or money market
investments will yield the most
profit for them. Why don’t they
investigate what living next door
to a fanning business would be
like? These people wouldn’t move
next to a factory or a mega-mall
for obvious reasons. By whining
and complaining about farm oper
ations they will wind up taking
away the very reason they wanted
to move to a rural area.
In my opinion, the farmer
deserves the public's request,
admiration and support for the
hard, 36S day-24 hour job he does
to provide the food for our tables.
I also think that the “yuppie”
transplants should be made to

on a farm. Would those with cor
porate city positions who hold
health club memberships and
large egos make it for even one
day? It is inexcusable to me that
these people invade our rural areas
to get away from the cities and
suburbs and then want to change
the way things have been here for
generations to make it more com
fortable for them.
As I said previously, the far
mers don’t need to adapt, the
transplants do. And if they don’t
like it, they have this country’s
freedom to go back to where they
came from.
