One of the most coveted awards Pa.DHIA presents is the Herb Gil more Superior Technician Award. Raymond Ross, of Montour Coun ty, received die award. The award was started this year to honor Herb Gilmore, who work ed as an extension dairy specialist at Pa.DHIA from 1946 to 1980. In his position, Gilmore worked closely with county agents to increase the accuracy and reliabili ty of records, train technicians, enforce rules and regulations, use records to build educational prog- Cindy Davis P.O. The purpose of the award is to honor those technicians who deliv er exceptional service to Pennsyl vania’s dairy farmers, promote good public relations and provide up-to-date records for all their members.
