over 800 Ibt. Few feeder heifen film. Steer
and heifer calvei iteady to 2.00 lower.
Trade extremely active for feeder iteen;
good for light tupply of heifers; fair to
moderate for calvei. Quaiity plain to aver
age, modem end'attractive. Weigh-ups of
both calvei and yearlingi average to lull.
Yearling flesh ilightly thin to medium;
calves generally loft and medium fleshed
to moderately fleshy. Rains in the combelt
this past week had feeder cattle buyers in
better mood as com crop expectations have
improved. Slaughter cows and bulls fully
1.00 higher in moderately active trading.
490 cows and bulls sold. Receipts this
week 12,450; last week 12,393; last year
13,957. Supply consisted of 67 percent
yearlings and few calves over 600 lbs; 29
percent calves under 600 lbs; 4 percent
cows and bulls. Prices follow with weight
ed average price and weight in parenthesis.
