My dad is special ’cause he
takes me a lot of fun places. My dad
also does a lot of thingsfor me. My
dad buys me a lot of things and he
gives me a nice wartp home to live
in. Sometimes my dad helps me
with my homework and helps me
study for my test.

CHIP COOKIES
1 cup softened butter
% cup firmly packed brown
sugar
7. cup granu l( «ed sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
2'A cups flour
MY DADDY IS A GOOD DADDY
AND A GOOD FARMER
My daddy loves his Lancaster Farming and usually reads it all by
Sunday night. My daddy isn’t a Holstein farmer but is a Hereford
farmer.
My daddy likes feeding our cow, Gabriel, and likes to give her
kisses!
We bought a small farm, 35 acres in Wyalusing, in January. My
daddy takes me with him to the farm and we work together to clean up
the barns. I helped daddy put up an electric fence on Saturday, Daddy
is a good daddy and a good farmer.

1 cup coarsely chopped nuts,
optional
12 ounces semi-sweet
chocolate-flavored chips
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Beat
butter, sugars, vanilla, and eggs
until light and fluffy. Mix in flour,
baking soda and salt Stir in nuts
and chips. Drop from teaspoon, 2
inches apart, on ungreased cookie
sheets. Bake about IQ minutes or
until golden brown. Makes about 6
dozen cookies.
