Somerset County To Crown Dairy Princess
SOMERSET (Somerset Co.)
The 1995 Somerset County Dairy
Princess Pageant will be held in
the Somerset Area High School
auditorium June 17, beginning at
7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchas
ed at the door for $4.
The contestants are Jodi Flick,
Lauren Lynch, Jessica Martin, and
Amy Paul. These young ladies
will present an original skit based
on the daily industry during the
contest.
Door prizes will be awarded
during the evening. An ice cream
social will follow the pageant
Jodi Flick is the daughter of
John and Sindy Flick of Berlin.
She has one brother, Jeremy. The
family resides on the 104-acre
Hickory Bottom Farm. They have
a herd of 26 Holsteins and Jerseys
of which they are currently milk
ing 60. Jodi will be a junior this
fall at Berlin Brothersvalley High
School where she is active in
marching and concert band, vol
leyball, Students Against Drunk

ing. Jodi is currently employed

Market
Lauren Lynch is the daughter of
Gary and Nancy Lynch of Fried
ens. She resides and woiks on her
family’s 312-acre farm, Lyncholm
Holsteins The family owns 180
cattle. 90 of them milking. Lauren
owns 10 dairy animals. She has
one sister, Jessica, and two bro
thers, Michael and Andrew. Laur
en will be a senior at Somerset
Area High School this fall. Lauren
is a member of the Dairydells and
Steaks and Chops 4-H Clubs, trea
surer of the Somerset County 4-H
Council, Somerset County Junior
Holstein Club, Geiger Church of

In school, Lauren is involved
with Somerset Youth Corps, Teen
to Teen, National Honor Society,
French Club, cross country run
ning, and track and field. Lauren
enjoys reading, sewing, cooking,
working with her 4-H animals,
riding horses, running, and play
ing sports.
Jessica Martin is the daughter
of Paul and Donna Martin of Ber
lin. She has one brother, Jacob,
and a sister, Jennifer. She will be a
junior this fall at Berlin Brothers
vally High School. At school, Jes
sica is a member of the basketball
team, Spanish Club, Students
Against Drunk Driving, and secre
tary of her class. Jessica is also the
secretary of the Milksquirts 4-H
Club and participates in AYSO
soccer. Jessica’s hobbies and in
terests include playing piano,
reading, playing with her brother

the family for 210 years. They
have a Holstein herd of ISO cattle,
65 of which are milking. She has
one brother, David, and a sister,
Lisa Brown. This fall, Amy will
