The Empire Lift Deck is a new approach to an age old problem; worker
comfort. Today's larger herd sizes mean many more hours spent in the
milking parlor than ever before. Empire Agri-Systems, Inc. of Auburn, NY,
-has designed a parlor pit floor that will adjust up or down to meet each
milkers' desired working height. A milker 6'2' tall or 5'6" tall can each work
the same parlor with equal comfort.
The Empire Lift Deck is made of special PVC planking with a non-skid
surface, supported by a galvanized steel frame, and raised up and down via
a stainless steel cable suspension and linear actuator drive system. The
cushion like flexibility, non skid surface of the PVC decking offers increased
worker comfort that leads to higher productivity demanded by today's larger
dairy farm*. The new PVC decking offers a non corrosive, easy to clean
surface and eliminates the need for heavy rubber mats. This new concept
is sure to be a part of many new parlor units.
