To Sewage Sludge
Roundtable Discussion
HARRISBURG (Dauphin
Co.) The public is invited to
attend a roundtable discussion of
the land application of sewage
sludge and septage, 6:30 p.m..
May 2, at the Harrisburg headquar
ters of the state Department of
Environmental Resources (DER).
According to a news release
from DER, the focus of the roundt
able discussion is come up with
suggestions for improving the pro
cess of the land application of sew
age sludge and septage.
The meeting’s two-hour format
is to consist of one hour of presen
tations from five speakers, fol
lowed by an hour of open
discussion.
The five speakers are to repre
sent five different perspectives on
the application of sewage sludge.

four times per year at the DER
headquarters building, located at
400 Market Street, in Harrisburg.
Action by DER, on results and
possible recommendations com
ing from the meeting, is to happen
during the July meeting of the
roundtable group.
