He succeeds Curtis F. Moyer, 71, of Harleysville who will remain active in the business as chairman of the board of directors. A member of the company’s board of directors, Delp is a prin cipal in R L Delp & Company, a management practice working exclusively with CEOs, presidents and owners to build businesses. He spent 20 years with Malvern based National Liberty Corpora tion where he rose through man agement to become senior vice president. Delp is a past president of Mennonite Economic Develop ment Associates (MEDA), an international nonprofit organiza tion. Moyer has been active in the family business for more than 50 years and has been president for over 30 years. He has a history of community involvement, having served on the boards of Penn Foundation, Univest Corporation, Clayton Kratz Fellowship, Freder ick Mennonite Home, and Eden Mennonite Church. Ciba Seeds (a division of Ciba-Geigy Corporation) was recently granted a limited registration from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for commercial production of com hybrids genetically engi neered for protection against crop pests. This represents the first lime a federal regulatory agency has approved commcrical scale pro duction of a transgenic com crop. However, a registration allowing marketing and sale of the material is still under review at EPA.
