Md.—A Saturday semi nar for owners of small poultry flocks and gamebirds throughout the Delmarva area is scheduled April 22 in the main building at the Caroline County 4-H and Youth Park near Williston, located along Highway 16 about five miles southeast of Denton. The program will run from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It is being sponsored by the Cooperative Exten sion Service of the Uni versity of Delaware along with the Maryland Department of Agriculture. The seminar is part of an overall campaign to better educate all seg ments of the poultry industry about effective prevention of avian dis eases through proper biosecurity and man agement practices. A $ 10 registration fee includes lunch, a man agement manual, and a certificate of participa tion. FFA and 4-H youth may register for $5. Advance registration is desirable in order to insure an accurate lunch count. Programs and registration forms are available at feed stores and from county offices of the Cooperative Extension Service in Maryland and Dela ware, as well as on Vir ginia’s Eastern Shore.
