ters of the Cedar Crest Young Far
mer Association attended the
group’s annual banquet Tuesday at
the Schaeffers town Fire Hall and
recognized a number of achieve
ments by its members.
The Young Farmer Association
is a community supported organi
zation designed as a continuing
education group. Its six areas of
focus are education, citizenship.

Current officers of the CCYF
are Gary Krall, president. Dave
Groff, vice president, Dan Groff,
secretary, John Risser, treasurer,
and Dan Bausher, public relations.
Dick Moore is the advisor.
In remarks, Jon Hamish. presi
dent of the Cedar Crest FFA,
thanked the group for its support of
the FFA program, and especially
for the financial help CCYF mem
bers provided for him and Andy
Martin to travel to Washington
D.C. to attend an FFA leadership
conference.
He was also presented with a
traveling plaque reflecting the first
win in annual volleyball contests
between the CCYF and the CC
FFA.
Garry Maurer, president elect of
the Pennsylvania Young Fanners
Association, was guest speaker,
and he thanked Dick Moore,
CCYF advisor, for his continuing
efforts and support of the Young
Fanner organization.
