It was also during the 50s that Dairy Council began to extend its nutrition ser vices not only to schools but to church groups, PTAs, and women’s clubs. DCI began distributing posters, pam phlets, and leaflets through large mailings to the area schools. Mailings were sent to doctors, dentists, and dietitians with in formation on the relationship between diet and heart disease. Daily Council continued through the 50s the tradition of writing and producing its own songs and plays.
