Compared to last Monday: Feeder steers
and heifers unevenly steady to 2.00 lower.
Feeder steers improved to near steady as
demand turned good by noon; buyers were
encouraged when cattle futures made mod
est gains despite a negative COF report last
Friday. Stocker steers steady to 2.00 lower.
Stocker heifers 2.00-4.00 lower. Stocker
demand good for steers but dropped to
moderate on heifers. Quality and condition
of cattle plain to average, few attractive.
Weigh conditions the poorest for buyers in
some time with bulk supply average to
many full. Flesh condition of feeders

April. It it doubtful that the May rum will
be at large ai the March exodui. Slaughter
cows 1.50-3.00 lower. Slaughter bulla 1.00
lower. Demand from packers fair to mod
erate, with only few major players. Good
demand for bred cows. 180 head herd dis
persal included in cow supply. These most
ly BWF and Brangus bred heifers. Total of
604 cows and bulls told with 50 percent to
packers. Receipts this week 11,575; last
week 16,934; last year 17,022. Supply con
sisted of 70 percent yearlings over 600 lbs;
25 percent calves and light yearlings under
600 lbs; 5 percent cows and bulls. Prices
follow with weighted average weights and
prices in parenthesis.
