It’s Time To Join Com Growers

Co.) —The Pennsylvania Mas
ter Com Growers Association
(PMCGA) is pleased to
announce continuing support
for the Membership Incentive
Program (MIP) that is being
conducted in conjunction with
several cooperating seed
companies.
The MIP, with seed com
company sponsorship, will
entitle any com grower who
plants at least five acres of com
to a free bag of seed com (stan
dard size) with a three-year
membership in PMCGA/
NCGA.
This program applies to all

three-year memberships, new
or renewal.
To participate, simply com
plete the membership form
included in this issue of Corn
Talk and indicate the brand of
seed com you would like to try.
Remember, the theme of the
program is “Try Something
New.” Growers who sign up
will receive a free bag of seed
from the company chosen by
PMCGA. The grower will
make the ultimate decision
about which hybrid he will
receive in consultation with the
local seed com dealer for the
company selected. PMCGA
will send the names and
addresses by brand chosen to
the appropriate seed com com
pany’s statewide contact per
son, and that person will con
tact the grower.
Locally, those who sign up
will be helping to support
PMCGA’s activities, such as
Corn Talk, the annual Pennsyl
vania Crops Conference, and
local com promotion activities.
The PMCGA board of direc
tors have also developed a
membership program in coop
eration with DuPont. This
program is targeted at recruit
ing new members of PMCGA,
Any Pennsylvania com grower
who joins PMCGA for three
years for the first time is eligi
ble to receive a free four-acre
sample of Accent herbicide
($lOO retail value).
The offer is available to any
one who grows more than 100
acres of com, has not been a
member of PMCGA before,
and who has not received an
Accent sample in the past.
There is a limit of one sample
per farming operation. In addi
tion, new three-year members
can elect to participate in the
PMCGA Membership Incen
tive Program and elect to try a
free unit of seed com from one
of the participating companies
on the membership
application.
