Eastern Milk, MMI Sign Merger Agreement, Need Delegate

ment which would create the third
largest milk marketing coopera
tive in the country.
“For the dairy farmers of MMI
and Eastern, this is a momentous
day," noted Brubaker. “As one
group, we will be able to accomp
lish more together than we could
alone.”
The agreement, dependent on
affirmative votes from both East
ern’s and MMl’s delegate bodies,
was reached after months of nego
tiations.

Eastern and MMI are known as

and will continue that commit
ment, both presidents said. The
consolidated cooperative would
